Corporate Media’s Drive by Shooting of Rev. Wright

The modern day American corporate media can at best be described as a group of thugs intent upon keeping their boss in power.  The Iraq War, the environment, car accidents, all of these issues are spun time and time again to protect the most powerful amongst us.  Now they are pulling drive by shootings on preachers, taking neat little sound clips and portraying a man of god as a man of evil.

Next task at hand …  promoting child labor, slavery, …  nothing would shock me.  It’s a real shame that our media has become this bankrupt.  By the way they are indicting his entire congregation when they suggest he is a man of evil.  So now the media wants us to believe Wright is a lunatic who has the support of 8000 people far morally superior to them.  I’ll pass.

Disney/ESPN Debate: Clinton VS Obama

Thanks for making America dumber one broadcast at a time. This debate was painful. Charles Gibson’s questions were so out of line, so out of control, so … Affirmative action, hmm, I would say that was on display tonight, does anybody really think if Charles Gibson were that bad and black, hispanic, asian he would have his job. Ditto that for George Steppin-all-on-us!

My favorite might have been Gibson’s question about capitol gains tax and revenue. When you raise the capitol gains tax the revenue goes down and vice-versa, Gibson boldly proclaimed! Well Charles thanks for this brilliant advice, let’s lower the tax to 1 percent than we can really rake in the dough!!! Perhaps Charles Affirmative Action Gibson can move on to sports correlations next, what happens to capital gains tax revenue when the American league wins the world series, Charles?

Reverend Wright, Barack Obama and the Audacity of Short Memories

I was just watching MSNBC, when some guy from Newsmax was criticizing Barack Obama’s pastor. I couldnt help but think to myself what a dis-ingenious asshole. I know this guy is old enough and smart enough to know exactly what Dr. Wright is talking about, but for those of you who are not so lucky, please read my take on it.

Perhaps maybe, just perhaps, Obama is good at math. Perhaps he knows that pastor Wright is 62 years old. Meaning that he was born in 2008 – 62 years, that would be 1946.You might remember 1946 as having been 18 years before 1964. Why might you ask would 1964 be so important? Well as you may or may not know 1964 was when the civil rights act was passed. This was landmark legislation in that it offered minorities, African Americans like pastor Wright, the protections of the federal government, at least in the letter of the law.

So for pretty much his entire childhood, Mr. Wright was considered a second class citizen. He was considered this by America, by the elected government of the United States of America. He and his parents were abused, intimidated, and segregated, left out in the cold in this great country of opportunity.  So perhaps Mr. Wright is MORE JUSTIFIED IN his denouncement of America, then America is in its denouncement of him. After all his first and most egregious crime was being born black.

So perhaps Barack Obama can understand this pastors point of view, perhaps he doesnt agree but he understands. Yes just perhaps hes using some judgment. Perhaps it would be incredibly STUPID of Mr. Obama to not understand this pastor.Just my 2 cents as someone who can relate! So perhaps the guys at Newsmaxx could back off a bit, and please when questioning Mr. Wright’s patriotism on such a primitive level, please refer to him as former Marine, Reverend Wright!

By the way my pastor thinks Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus etc worship a false god and they will rot in hell, purgatory, as Im sure many other religious leaders believe the same about him. I would sure hate to be judged as agreeing with him, because I attend his church. God Bless!

LL&B One Millionth Blog to Endorse Obama

I’m an Obama fan, I make no efforts to hide my bias. Amongst people that are into love, linux and basketball I guarantee you that Obama polls really well. So I’ve been watching this battle lately between Obama and Clinton, and I think I’m starting to understand the dynamic of the race.

The biggest factor in the division amongst the two candidates bases is age. Yes the old establishment love Hilary, and the youth love Obama. Indeed the youth are making an indictment of the base, and I think rightfully so. The older generation has failed and failed miserably.

For 8 years now the democratic party base has been outsmarted by a dimwit from Texas. They have been scared to challenge the wars on drugs, terror, Iraq, and even Afghanistan… as Dennis Kucinich recently said perhaps we need a department of peace.

As a nation we have failed to move forward, with the exception of a select group of greedy corporate executives. Of course, these losers can’t take a piss without popping a 3 Viagara pill cocktail, so really what have we done.

That’s the indictment, that’s the accusation, that’s the problem. We are indeed ready for change, yes we can.
